Dining > Fort Walton Beach Restaurants The first Emerald Coast restaurant, Staff’s, is a 1913 barrel-shaped warehouse adorned with original pressed-tin ceilings and various collectibles such as a 1914 cash register and an antiquated phonograph lamp. The Seafood Skillet -- yellowfin tuna, shrimp, scallops and crabmeat stuffing broiled in melted butter and drizzled with cheese -- is served with baskets of homemade wheat bread fresh-baked from Pop Staff’s 70-year-old secret recipe.

Staff's Restaurant
Staff's Restaurant, established in 1913, is located in the heart of Fort Walton Beach's downtown. Staff's is one of Florida's historic restaurants and is still run by the Staff family. Open all year round, it welcomes locals and visitors alike. Staff's is rich in tradition and takes pride in the food they serve. They offer a wonderful variety of seafood on their menu. The meals that are prepared are not only tasty and fresh but also good for your health. In other words, the food is scrumptious to your taste buds and you will live a longer life. Staff's is very particular about where they get their food. The seafood is purchased right off the boat from local fishermen and is cleaned and prepared by their cooks. This insures the freshest possible seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. All vegetables and salad greens are selected from the local produce market each morning, cleaned, and prepared for the evening meal. They also proudly serve homemade dressing that is prepared from recipes that go back several generations. Staff's whole wheat bread, which is all natural and contains no preservatives, is also baked daily. These bread recipes have been passed down the Staff family for over 70 years.
